Privacy Policy

When you use our website or services, we may collect:

Your name, email address, and phone number; your fitness goals submitted via our contact form; order and payment details (processed securely by Yoco — we never see or store your card data); and basic technical data such as your IP address and device type via our hosting logs.

We use your information only to:

Respond to your enquiries; deliver coaching services and fulfil orders; process payments; communicate with you about your program; and improve our website and services. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for third-party marketing.

Contact form submissions are kept for up to 12 months. Active client records are retained for up to 5 years in line with South African tax law. Inactive records are deleted on request or when no longer required.

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; request that it be corrected or deleted; withdraw your consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 11.

This website sets two cookies, both from Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_W5YESCTRKH. They let our website statistics recognise a returning browser, so the same visitor is not counted twice. They last up to two years (most browsers cap them at 400 days). Advertising storage and Google signals are switched off, so this data is never used to target ads or shared for third-party marketing.

Nothing else is stored as a cookie. Your cart is kept in the page while you shop, and your browser briefly remembers that you have already seen the opening animation for this visit. When you pay, Yoco’s secure payment page sets its own cookies under Yoco’s privacy policy.

We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (POPIA section 11(1)(f)) rather than asking for consent, which is why there is no cookie banner. You can object at any time: block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The website works the same either way.

We use Yoco for payment processing, Netlify for website hosting, Resend for transactional email, Cloudflare Turnstile to block form spam, and Google Analytics for website statistics, as described in section 5. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only what is necessary for these services to function.

Netlify, Resend, Google and Cloudflare store or process information outside South Africa, mainly in the United States. We only use providers bound by data-protection law or agreements giving protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72 requires.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

When you submit our contact form, you actively consent to BladeFit Coaching collecting your name, email address, phone number and enquiry details. We collect this information for one purpose only — to respond to your enquiry and provide the coaching information you requested. We do not use it for marketing unless you separately opt in.

These details are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are securely deleted, unless you become a client (in which case our standard retention period applies). You may withdraw your consent or request deletion at any time using the contact details below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.

BladeFit Coaching is responsible for your personal information. Our Information Officer is the owner of BladeFit Coaching, and every privacy question or request goes to info@bladefitcoaching.co.za. We reply within 30 days.
